Privacy Policy
Effective October 28, 2026
Roundtrip helps families, friends and groups plan trips together: the plan, meals, who's going, games, and private groups called circles. This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and how to remove it.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and password (stored encrypted by our sign-in provider).
- Profile details you choose to add: phone number, birthday, a profile picture, food notes, clothing sizes, favorites and wish-list links.
- What you and your group add to a trip: stops, meals, messages, announcements, photos, checklists, expenses, tickets and documents, game scores and stamps.
- Kids' profiles: a parent can add their children (name, and optionally a picture, birthday and sizes) and take a park-day photo for a lost-child card.
- Device information for notifications: if you turn on notifications, a token Apple provides so we can send them to your device.
- Basic activity: when you last opened the app, shown only to the app's administrator for support.
We do not collect your device's location, we do not use advertising or tracking, and we do not sell or share your information for marketing.
Who can see it
- Trip details are visible only to the people on that trip.
- A circle, and everything in it, is visible only to its members, and to the parents of any child who is a member.
- Parents can see and manage their own children's profiles and kid-mode activity.
- The app's administrator can see account information (names, email addresses and households, not personal details) to provide support, handle reports, and remove content or accounts that break our Terms. The administrator can see a trip's contents only when they are on that trip, or when a trip's planner asks Roundtrip support for help: then for the time the planner chooses, with a banner showing everyone on the trip, and a record of any changes. Circles, gift pairings and personal items stay private even then.
Children
Roundtrip is designed for families. Children's profiles are created and managed by a parent, and a child's own login is set up by a parent. Kid mode shows children only their games, stamps and the day's plan, with no messaging. If you believe a child's information was added without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Where it's stored
Your information is stored with Supabase (our database, sign-in and file storage provider) and the app is delivered through Cloudflare. Notifications are delivered through Apple's Push Notification service. These providers process data only to run Roundtrip.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account exists. You can delete your login anytime in Settings → Delete my login. If you're the only person in your household, that removes you, your household, and your posts and history. If you share a household, your login and personal details are removed and your name stays on your household's list, unless you ask us to remove it. To remove anything else, email support@ourroundtrip.com.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
